About Us
The Pigment Warehouse is run by two people who have spent years on the other side of the counter: Bethany and Belle, both from the cosmetics and beauty industry, both in Hastings on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula.
How we got here
Between us, we have been importing and using pigments and cosmetics products for our own businesses for years. Bethany founded and runs a local indie nail polish brand, and Belle has worked in the beauty industry for almost 15 years. Every multichrome, flake and shimmer we used had to be sourced, sampled, tested in real formulas and, more often than not, sent back. Finding the good ones meant going through a lot of average ones.
Somewhere along the way we realised the hard part was not the making. It was getting hold of pigments that actually looked like the photo, arrived in a sensible quantity, came with proper documentation, and did not take six weeks and a customs form to reach a bench in Australia.
What we do differently
- We have used what we sell. Every pigment in the range has been through our own brands or our own testing first. If it is not on the site, it did not make the cut.
- Real photos of the real powder. Every product photo is our own, of the exact pigment in the jar. No supplier stock images.
- Documentation you can actually get. Safety Data Sheets and ingredient information on request, with cosmetic grade stated per product only where the paperwork backs it up.
- Stock in Australia. Everything ships from Hastings, Victoria, in 1 to 2 business days, or you can collect it locally.
Who buys from us
Nail techs and indie polish makers, resin and polymer clay artists, slime makers, soap and candle makers, and anyone else who wants a colour that shifts, sparkles or glows and does not want to guess whether it will. If you are unsure which pigment suits your medium, ask us. We answer these questions all day.
