CHF05 - Blue-Indigo-Magenta Chameleon Flakes

Chameleon flakes with a metallic blue heart. They travel from deep blue through indigo into magenta as the light and viewing angle change, carrying the hard metallic glint that separates a chameleon flake from an iridescent one, and they cover solidly rather than sheer. Strongest over black, where the colour switches on fully. Highly concentrated: a small pinch gives a strong, full coverage effect.

How to use

These are loose raw flakes, ready to mix into your own projects. Popular uses: nail art (press onto tacky gel or mix into a clear base or nail polish), resin and epoxy, polymer clay, and art media. Start with a tiny amount and build up - a little goes a long way. Flakes sit best applied to a tacky layer, then sealed with a top coat for a smooth finish. The flakes are delicate on purpose: rub them between your fingertips and they break down into a finer flake, or keep going and they condense into a single-shade shimmer powder - one jar, a whole range of textures. Handle gently if you want to keep the biggest statement pieces whole.

Safety

This is a high quality raw pigment, not a finished cosmetic product. Avoid breathing in loose powder or flakes and work in a well-ventilated space. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not use on broken skin, and stop use if irritation occurs. If you are making products to sell, it is your responsibility to confirm this pigment is permitted for your intended use in your market.

Good to know

Colours on screen are a guide only: the finish depends on your screen, your base colour, and the medium you mix into. Sold by weight, not volume - flakes and shimmers are feather-light, so even a small weight fills a surprising amount of jar. Store sealed, cool and dry, out of direct sunlight.
